Torbay is a natural harbor in south Devon that offers beautiful beaches and a mild climate resulting in the title of the British Riveria. From Torquay in the north through Paignton on down to Brixham visitors enjoy all manner of water sports, places to explore, and activities to occupy all ages. However the Torbay "palm" trees are actually cabbage trees imported originally from New Zealand but they do give the locale a tropical resort ambience.
Visitors frequently take a train ride to Kingswear to visit Darmouth, home of the Royal Naval College, a short ferry ride across the River Dart. This is one of the many activities available for travelers when visiting this region.
